Lymphocytic adenohypophysitis (LA) is a rare inflammatory disorder of the pituitary, probably auto-immune in origin, usually affecting young pregnant women. Clinical features resemble a pituitary adenoma but differing in the hierarchy of endocrine loss, preferentially destroying ACTH and TSH secreting cells.
